Lily flower bulbs in many varieties

Many people are familiar with lilies as cut flowers and don't realize that lily bulbs can also shine in the garden. This charming flower, which always exudes class, comes in many varieties. A distinction is made based on the position of the flower relative to the stem. For example, there are lilies with upright, sideways-facing, and drooping flowers, trumpet-shaped, bowl-shaped, and star-shaped flowers. All equally beautiful. The only downside might be the stress of choosing: which lily bulbs are best suited to your garden?!

Lily flower bulbs with much symbolism

If there's one flower brimming with symbolism, it's the lily. Purity, love, fertility, unity, and transience—they represent it all. Lily bulbs are one of the oldest known plants. They appear in ancient writings and illustrations dating back as far as 2,000 BC. This vain flower is therefore a favorite with a wide audience. Available in white, pink, lilac, red, yellow, orange, and purple, there's sure to be a color to suit you. And as if that weren't enough, the lily takes things a step further with varieties in speckles and stripes. You can also choose from trumpet, flat, or cup shapes. Plant lily bulbs in your garden—you can't go wrong with this flower!

Flower bulbs with lilies shine in your garden

Are the lily bulbs in full bloom in your garden? Then you can bring some of that splendor indoors and create a beautiful bouquet. Fill a clean vase with cold water and, if desired, a dose of cut flower food. Cut about 2 centimeters off the stem diagonally, remove any excess leaves, and then place the flowers in the vase. Choose a cool spot to enjoy your bouquet even longer. Changing the water every three or four days will also help. Still not tired of lilies indoors? Then dry the spent flowers, tie them together, hang them upside down, and choose a nice spot for them. This way, you'll enjoy them even longer.

Cool feet and warm head

Lilies love the sun! They prefer cool feet and a warm head. Lilies are realsummer flowers, which require a sunny to partially shaded location. From early June to mid-September, they radiate exuberance. Choose a variety with a small diameter and they'll add a charming touch to your garden, but with a diameter of 25 centimeters, you'll almost feel like you're in a tropical setting. Plant your lily bulbs early so you can enjoy a touch of extra glamour in your garden next season!
