Dahlia 'Molly Raven' – a unique mix of pink, coffee and plum
Dahlia 'Molly Raven' is one of the most extraordinary new additions to the range. Her flowers, approximately 14 cm across, have a unique color: a soft coffee base with a pink glow, finished with a delicate fuchsia hue, which provides extra contrast. Combined with her dark foliage and purple stems, they create a flower that defies simple description; you really have to see it for yourself.
Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Molly Raven' blooms from early summer until the first frost, producing an abundance of flowers that tower above the dark foliage. The plants grow to about 100 cm tall and are resilient enough to survive even a summer rain shower. The more often you cut the flowers, the more abundantly they will bloom with new buds.
Location and care
Plant the tubers after the last frost in loose, well-drained soil. Ideally, place them in a spot with full sun, but they also tolerate a little light shade. Regular watering helps maintain abundant flowering. The dark foliage has an added benefit: slugs and snails generally avoid this species. Dig up the tubers in winter and store them frost-free, or protect them with a thick layer of mulch during mild winters.
