Dahlia 'Lavender Perfection' – soft lavender Dinnerplate
Dahlia 'Lavender Perfection' is part of my dahlia collection because of its beautiful soft lavender-pink color. The petals appear to be delicately draped over the flower, and its large, 20cm flowers make it an instant eye-catcher. If you combine the beautiful lavender with a warm apricot, I believe you have the perfect summer color palette.
Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Lavender Perfection' blooms profusely from summer until the first frost. The plants grow to about 110 cm tall and carry their large flowers firmly above the foliage. The more often you prune the flowers, the more buds will return, ensuring armfuls of flowers all summer and autumn.
Location and care
Plant the tubers after the last frost in well-drained, fertile soil and give them a sunny spot. Because of their large flowers, some support can be helpful, especially in windy or rainy weather. Provide extra water during dry spells and prune dead flowers to prolong flowering.
