Dahlia 'Kick Off' – peach, pink and gold in one flower
Dahlia 'Kick Off' is my favorite new discovery this year. I love flowers that defy categorization in terms of color, and that's what makes this variety so special. Its flowers display a mix of peach, pink, and gold, sometimes with a hint of salmon or copper. Depending on the light and the flowering stage, you'll see a different shade each time. That's precisely what makes it irresistible.
Flowering and growth
Dahlia 'Kick Off' blooms throughout the summer with medium-sized flowers of about 15 cm. They are carried tall on sturdy, long stems of about 120 cm, making them not only a strong addition to the border but also ideal for cutting. The flowers are slightly upward-facing, ensuring they are always beautifully visible. The more often you cut them, the more new buds they will form.
Location and care
Plant the tubers after the last frost in well-drained, fertile soil. Provide a sunny spot and plenty of water during dry periods. Regularly removing spent flowers will ensure continued flowering until the first frost.
